Yul Kim is a contestant who competed in the animated web series Disventure Camp.

He served as a minor antagonist in the 2nd season of this series, while he became a secondary antagonist when he came back to compete in All Stars.

He is voiced by Michael Horowitz in the English dub, Camilo Jara in the Spanish dub, and by Karol Malczewski in the Polish dub.

What Do People Like About Him?

• He developed a fanbase for his jerkass personality since fans considered him to be funny and memorable. Fans also state that his voice actor makes an entertaining performance.
• The misfortunes he suffers come across as being funny due to not having charisma.
• His rant when he is voted off the second time can be considered funny, though he contributed to Ally living a stressful life by the time All-Stars begins because he left some hate comments on her profile.
• In “No Vacancy”, when Grett stands up for herself and burns half of his face on the BBQ, fans began to sympathize with him since it crossed the line.

What Do People Hate About Him?

• While he was intentionally written to be hateable, some saw his increasingly obnoxious qualities as uncomfortable, annoying and cringeworthy rather than funny.
• Some see his bigotry and offensive remarks to be unnecessary, coming off as a cheap way for the writers to make him seem edgy.
  • In the Spanish dub of "Last Second Chance", Yul used an offensive anti-Brazilian slur to refer to James, who is Brazilian. This scene received vocal backlash because it went too far to be funny even with racism being in-character to Yul (and the line being improvised by his Spanish voice actor), which caused the creators of Disventure Camp to release a statement and remove the line from the episode.
• Many felt uncomfortable towards his abuse towards Grett in All-Stars due to her popularity among fans and how the realistic portrayal of their abusive relationship hits closer to home than intended, though Grett eventually breaks up with him once he went too far with his actions.
