What Makes Her a Base Breaking Character?[]

What Do People Like About Her?[]

  • Fans find her character design to be very cool.
  • Fans thought that her voice is neat and suits her energetic personality very well, in which fans found very likable about her character.
  • Fans did enjoy some of her interactions with the male characters in the series, as she grows to like Shuichi and even tries to work together with Kaito in the first trail. Some fans even sometimes found her to be funny,
  • Fans felt that her relationship with Himiko was well developed and found it adorable. Unlike other characters like Toko and Kazuichi who are also creeps in the series, as the both of them are very creepy with their crushes on Sonia and Byakuya, fans respect that she's trying to help Himiko come out of her shell.

What Do People Hate About Her?[]

  • Detractors thought she was more so annoying and one noted, especially with her misandry being one of her bigger personality traits that easily got on detractors nerves and got way too old fast. She accuses that her male classmates did the killings in the first two trails but it was actually two of her female classmates that did it.
    • Furthermore, many point out how her misandry is a case of double standards. Had she been a male character (especially an unattractive one) so biased against women, she'd easily be among the most hated characters in the franchise, if not the most.
    • Additionally, the reason of her hatred for men is a result of a mere misunderstanding of her master's teachings. Many point out that if she had a tragic past experience with a man (a backstory similar to Kotoko's), her misandry would at least be somewhat understandable. However, because it's a result of something so silly, many can't bring themselves to feel sympathetic towards her.
  • Detractors thought that her relationship with Himiko was rather creepy and makes her come out as hypocritical. This doesn’t help that Himiko looks much younger and she tries to make numerous advances.
