Shigekiyo “Shigechi” Yangu is a supporting character in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable.
In the anime, he is voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi in Japanese and Brian Beacock in English.

What Do People Like About Him?[]
- Despite being greedy and being a genuine villain to Josuke and Okuyasu in their first encounter, in the end he comes off as a flawed kid who wants to protect his parents from Kira.
- His stand ability is pretty cool.
- He is overall loyal to everybody no matter how unlikeable he can be.
- While he is pretty naive, he can also be rather crafty and intelligent with his stand.
- He was the main reason why Josuke started to catch on to Kira in the first place due to using his stand to deliver Kira’s suit button to Josuke and Okuyasu. Moreover, his death is played for sympathy.
What Do People Hate About Him?[]
- Many fans detest Shigechi for his greedy personality and being somewhat annoying to the point a small faction of them even rooted for Kira during their confrontation.
- Some detractors also believe Shigechi overall brought his end onto himself due to how possessive he was of his sandwich.
- In addition, his arrogance played a part in his demise.

- Shigechi was actually ranked #9 on Hirohiko Araki’s top 10 favorite characters, even higher than DIO. This proves even further that he is supposed to be likeable.
