Sasuke Uchiha is a deuteragonist in the anime/manga Naruto. He is the rival of Naruto Uzumaki, as well as his best friends and teammate. He is the husband of Sakura Haruno, and had a child named Sarada Uchiha. His goal is to kill his brother Itachi Uchiha so he can avenge his clan since he was the sole survivor of the massacre. In order to accomplish his goal, he left the village and joined Orochimaru. He starts to become an anti-villain in the first part of the final arc, but he later redeems himself in the second part of the series.

- Sasuke is a very popular and well received character in the Japan side of the fanbase due to his vengeance and goals.
- He is a well written character who's actions are understandable, considered to be very tragic since his family got massacred. He is a survivor suffering from the trauma to make him act the way he is with his arrogance. Because of his, his fans feel sympathy for him.
- Many fans love how cool his character with his dark personality who is a complete badass with his skills, since he has great skill with his abilities.
- Sasuke has some of the most interesting fights in the series, such as with his fight against Itachi since it lived up to the hype of the fight.
- His character is very interesting and relatable since the given situation he was in, he would want to seek for revenge.
- He gets great character development later in the series after learning the truth from his brother Itachi and is easily forgiven by his fans and has the redemption he deserves.
- Many fans like his role as a deuteragonist who was a good rival of Naruto, at some even consider him to be the best rival in anime.
What Do People Hate About Him?[]
- While he has a reason for his actions, it doesn't make him likable since he was a completely cruel jerk who committed many heinous actions to become fully sympathetic.
- While his fans feel that he is misunderstood and sympathetic, his detractors believe that his actions are completely unforgivable and doesn’t make him sympathetic.
- Ever since his Face-Heel Turn, it is much harder to sympathize with his character since he betrays his village, attacking his allies by trying to murder them, and acts down right cruel.
- After his Face-Heel Turn, his detractors believed he was forgiven way too easily when he got the redemption and should’ve died in the end of the manga.
- Despite having a deadly arsenal of powers such as the ability to switch positions with objects within field of vision by the end of Naruto Shippuden, he never uses this arsenal to his full advantage in Boruto, leading detractors and fans alike to rightfully state that he was intellectually nerfed for the plot long before he lost his Rinnegan. He even gets memed on for struggling to fight a dinosaur.
- His detractors believe he steals away too much attention from many other characters within the series, being considered a spotlight stealer.
