Sangonomiya Kokomi (Japanese: 珊瑚宮心海) is a playable major character in role playing video game, Genshin Impact. She is the young divine priestess of Watatsumi Island and a descendant of Sangonomiya Clan. She is in charge of most of Watatsumi's affairs in hope to give the Watatsumi locals hope and happiness as they desire.
She is voiced by Du Qingqing (credited as Guiniang) in the Chinese dub, Suzuko Mimori (三森 すずこ), who also voices Hiyoko Saionji in Danganronpa in the Japanese dub, Yeo Yun-mi (여윤미) in Korean dub, and Risa Mei in English dub.

What Do People Like About Her?[]
- Gameplay-wise, Kokomi is an effective healer unit in general and Hydro support character who has -100% CRIT rate as a price for healing percentage. In which, her inability to inflict CRIT DMG by chance becomes a reccuring joke.
- She's designed to counter against La Signora in her boss fight, gameplay-wise, and got boosted in usage after Diona got shafted for Shnehe when she got release since she could debuff enemies to make them more vulnerable to Cryo while Kokomi was the only other consistent healer (before Xilonen who can additionally reduce enemy elemental resistances with her skill was released which somewhat shafted the need for Shenhe) and Hydro applicator to pair with Shenhe at the time helped by the release of Furina who could utilize her high heal numbers.
- After the release of Dendro elements, she becomes an excellent unit for Bloom Team.
- Although somewhat get power crept in Natlan with the introduction of Xilonen (with the exception of Nilou teams due to her Ascension 1 passive), she can be used as DPS when pair with Furina due to her scaling of Healing percentage.
- Kokomi is liked as a responsible individual in Watatsumi Island. While it initially starts as an informed attribute, Kokomi's character quest explores her tactician minds further.
- She is also adored for being a selfless and dutiful individual. Despite this, she would warn Kouzen there would be harsh consequences should he hinders peace talks, even if there are some of the Shogunate soldiers who would hinder peace negotiation.
- Audience also adore her cute design and being associated with mermaids and fishes in general.
- Shipping fanbase adores her dynamics with Gorou, The Traveler, and Yae Miko, who is confirmed to be her pen pal.
- Before Furina's release as a playable character in 4.2, audience adores her being able to walk on water during her Burst which was not done with any other characters before her.
What Do People Hate About Her?[]
- Many audiences stated that Kokomi was underutilized throughout the climax of the Inazuma Archon Quest. As audience points out, her being uninvited or being absent from Yae Miko's meeting with Raiden Shogun made a wasted potential.
- Fanbase wanted a scene where Kokomi successfully apprehends an infamous Fatui Saboteur named Nathan, who was responsible for prolong the conflicts within Inazuma Civil Warfare, which in-game only happens offscreen.
- Even if Yae and Kokomi were confirmed to be pen pals in Hues of the Violet Garden event, the audience-perception damage is still undone.
- She was critized to be a bad strategist for mistaking the Fatui spies in the army as allies who want to avoid coming out in the open, causing her own army to be weakening by Delusions created from ironically Orobashi's remains which is part of the Fatui plan. Her playable voiceline "To survive hardship, you must prepare for hardship." is poorly translated from the original “Only by taking precautions can you remain calm in the face of danger.” which goes to the point that she become fandom memes similar to Shirou Emiya's "People Die If They Are Killed" from Fate/stay night.
- Kokomi's first banner had a misfortune for competing Raiden Shogun. Because this and her anti-synergizing kit, her Chinese VA was harassed online even though she only did voice the character.

- Kokomi's voice actresses had voiced other characters from Hoyoverse Games in different languages:
- Her Chinese VA, Du Qingqing, in addition to be the voice of Oceanid Rhodeia of Loch in Genshin Impact, had voiced Selim & Timido Cute from Honkai Impact 3rd, & Asta from Honkai Star Rail.
