What Do People Hate About Him?

• His detractors find him to be too trusting for his own good, believing Tom to be his mother and refusing to believe that the cat is trying to eat him, until he learns the truth when looking up a recipe for roast duck in a cookbook. It's only then that Tom has a change of heart and decides to raise the duckling as his own child.
• Many of his starring roles have him portrayed as a load for Jerry, who is often the only one who can step in and save him from being eaten by Tom.
• Others find his voice to be a rip-off of Donald Duck, which makes him difficult to understand at times.
