Priya is the main protagonist in the Canadian reality show Total Drama Island (2023). She also comes back in the second season Total Drama (2024). She is member of the Ferocious Trout in the first season. Since she won the first season, she ends up being the captain of Team Rat Face in the second season.

Her parents are huge Total Drama fans that have trained her whole life just in case there was a reboot in the future. She has had her very first bungee as a baby. Thanks to all of her training, she ended up winning the million-dollar prize first season of the reboot. However, she does decide to return even after winning last season since her parents made her keep the money she won until she was 40.

She was voiced by Eman Ayaz.

What Do People Like About Her?

• Priya became a very popular character due to her joyful personality, as well as her over-preparation. Many fans found her character to be very enjoyable to watch. Fans like that she is strong and intelligent player who serves a good role as a leader.
• Since Priya was trained for Total Drama her entire life by her parents that are huge Total Drama fans, as well as the fact that she carried Millie into the final three, many fans can come to an agreement that she is a very well-deserved finalist that deserved to win the first season.
• Fans have found her interesting and has enjoyed seeing her aggressiveness later in the second season was found to be funny to fans and has enjoyed this side of her. Fans also tend to like her funny facial expressions.
• In the second season towards the end, fans believe that Priya had every right for her anger. She was only born to be raised for Total Drama by her parents, ended up being betrayed by Millie her best friend, and having her feelings played by Caleb by forming an alliance to make it further in the game. And also, with Julia giving Caleb immunity and making it seem like Caleb is even more of a liar, fans believe she had every right to be mad.

What Do People Hate About Her?

• Due to her training for Total Drama by her parents throughout her whole life, detractors find her character to be bland and a predictable winner. These detractors also believe that her win is undeserved since it's what her abusive parents want from her and not for herself.
• Due to her being the winner from last season and also her love story with Caleb is one of the main focuses in the second season, detractors believe that she had way too much screen time and overstayed her welcome. Detractors claim that she ended up being a creator's pet and believe she should've gotten voted off earlier.
• Priya ends up being more divisive in the second season because detractors thought her character derailed later in the season after Zee revealed that Caleb was only using her for an alliance. She went from an athletic and determined player who was kind and supportive into an aggressive and impulsive cruel and controlling girlfriend to Caleb, who even went as far as attempting to kill him with a boulder at some point. Detractors felt that her relationship with Caleb caused her character to go downhill and makes her look weak.

Trivia

• Priya wasn't as divisive in the first season. Her character ended up being more divisive overtime because of the second season. Priya had a more positive reception in the first season of the reboot and was considered to be a Fan-Favorite. However, because of the second season of where she overstays her welcome and her relationship with Caleb with displaying her divisive traits later in the season caused her popularity to drop.
