What Makes Her a Base Breaking Character?[]

What Do People Like About Her?[]

  • She has a bunch of comedic moments throughout the show, that could range from mocking others that are expressing their feelings, or her murderous shenanagians.
  • Many fans enjoy watching her being an absolute menace towards other people and her own team, which is considered as quite entertaining for them.
  • Some like the idea of her becoming a murderous psychopath, since before that she wasn't really doing much that could make her stand out as a character, but because of this, it gives her a reason why fans might want to root for her now
  • Fans love her fluffy design and see it as adorable and huggable (despite the fact she isn't supposed to be an innocent character).
  • A lot of fans of hers were disappointed that she ended up being eliminated and wished they could see more of her.

What Do People Hate About Her?[]

  • A huge aspect on why she's hated by detractors is her sudden change in herself becoming a murderous serial killer, many detractors see this as derailment for the character for a few reasons:
    • There is no good explanation for why she is what she is, other than Tree stating that "she was always like this", which was the actual reason she decicded to join Death P.A.C.T, since it had something to do with death, but many detractors still feel like it's hard to find this believeable.
    • The motivation Pillow has for doing this is left confusing and messy, as later on the show she learns how death doesn't bring good luck to her team, and should find other methods that would bring good luck instead, but afterwards she seems to continue on killing contestants, making this whole conspiracy seem rather pointless.
    • It just comes off as a cheap way to make her become a consistent comic relief for the audience of the show to find funny.
  • Her constant gag of killing other contestants here and there can get tiring and repetitive pretty quickly, to the point where it becomes much more of an annoyance rather than being played for laughs.
  • She lacks any real characterization and comes off as nothing but a flat serial killer who has less interesting character traits compared to others.
  • A lot of detractors claim that she overstayed her welcome in TPOT and should've been eliminated much more sooner which is helped by the fact that she's usually the reason why her team loses challenges due to her deciding to do things that cause harm to her team rather than help them, and being able to survive through the eliminations while other characters who actually do help out the team don't, which further pushes peoples hatred for her even more.
