Ol' Chum, formerly known as Minion, is one of two deuteragonists (alongside Roxanne Ritchi) of the Megamind franchise.
He is Megamind's lifelong sidekick who aided him with his villainous goals at first, but after a bigger threat in the form of Tighten starts terrorizing Metro City, he and Megamind decide to take action and stop him, with the two of them becoming the new heroes of Metro City after that point.
He is voiced by David Cross in the film. In Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate and Megamind Rules!, he is now voiced by Josh Brener.

What Do People Like About Him?[]
- Fans loved David Cross' voice acting in the first film.
- Fans loved his development throughout the first film and proves to be more than a sidekick.
- Fans adore his design, from his cute fish face to his mechanical suit.
- Fans enjoyed his faked death scene after his suit gets damaged from saving Roxanne when disguised as Megamind.
- Fans find him to be really entertaining and hilarious.
- Even though he gets flanderized in the sequel and TV series, fans still sympathize with him due to being abused by Megamind constantly.
What Do People Hate About Him?[]
- Detractors hated his new voice acting in the sequel.
- He is primarily hated for his new name "Ol' Chum" and detractors wished he stayed as Minion.
- Detractors find him to be incompetent at times in the TV series.
- In the sequel and TV series, many people find him significantly less funny than he originally was, with a lot of jokes just being "he doesn't understand popular internet thing".
