Ochaco Uraraka is a major character in the anime/manga My Hero Academia. Her quirk is Zero-Gravity, which make make objects and people float with her finger tips. She is a student in U.A. High School who is training to become a Pro Hero to help her parents with money, and to save the lives of others.
She is voiced by Ayane Sakura in Japanese, who also voiced Gabi Braun in Attack on Titan, and by by Luci Christian in English.

- Ochaco is a kind and positive person who is willing to help and protect in need, no matter what the consequences may be.
- Many of her fans find her personality and character design to be very adorable.
- Her reasonings of being a hero is to help her family have a better life since she grew up poor. She plans on making plenty of money for her parents.
- She has her badass moments and is able to control her gravity, which also gave Bakugo a hard time when fighting her in the U.A. Championship.
- Another moment is when she uses self-defense to bring Himiko Toga to the ground.
- Another moment includes her moment in the Joint Training Arc, where went to the extent of stopping Neito Momoma from stealing Midoriya's Quirk after nearly coping the One For All quirk, and demonstrating her martial arts to protect Midoriya.
- She takes an important part in bringing Deku back to U.A. and defends for him of why he left in the first place, and showing the crowd of why he's a true hero. This also shows her develop as a character.
- She has many fans that see a high potential in her since she doesn't necessarily have a huge role in the earlier seasons, especially since her quirk is Zero-Gravity, she could easily be one of the strongest characters.
What Do People Hate About Her?[]
- She is highly criticized for seeming "annoying" because of her exceedingly kind and bubbly personality, which can make her act like an airhead despite the fact she is a overall smart person.
- She seems to be poorly portrayed in the anime since she lacks proper character development and personality despite being one of the major female characters.
- Because of the lack of character development and personality she has in the series, many make her come across as a boring character.
- Some felt that the series treats her unfairly when compared to the male cast as a couple of people believe that the series itself is sexist towards its female cast.
- Since her reason to become a hero is initially to get money and provide said finances for her family, a few of her detractors believe that her backstory is weak and isn’t exactly a great motive of becoming a hero.
