Michael “Mike” Wheeler is the central protagonist in the show Stranger Things. He is a boy from Hawkins, Indiana, who becomes involved in a number of supernatural events after his friend Will Byers is lost in an alternate dimension.

He is played by Finn Wolfhard.

• He’s liked for his leadership and caring attitude towards his friends.
• His fans liked especially his role in Season 1 and didn’t like that in later seasons he had less role.
• His fans like his relationship with Eleven and find it cute.
• He has many funny moments that his fans like.
• Some people actually takes his defenses in Season 3, affirming that Max and especially Hopper weren’t really kind to him and feel like it’s unfair that he was the only one to apologize.
  • His fans also point out that him being worried for Eleven is justified due to her almost dying in Season 1 when she overwhelmed herself with her powers, and thus these people feel like Max accusing him of being controlling is an informed flaw.

• Some people dislikes the way he treated Max in Season 2 by telling her she's not welcome in the group because she's annoying even though he knows what it's like to be rejected.
• His detractors didn’t like that he lied to Eleven in Season 3.
• Some accuse him of having ignored Will for most of Season 3.
• His detractors complains that he didn't respond well when Eleven is bullied by Angela at the roller rink, as he was slow to notice what's happening and then merely asked the DJ to turn off the insulting song that's playing but does not confront Angela or shield Eleven from her. He then takes it out on Will, claiming he was acting depressed and ruined the whole day. The fact that this was during Will’s birthday made things worse for some.
