Meggy Spletzer is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Luigi) of the Australian adult-animated web series SMG4 and the main protagonist of its spin-off Sunset Paradise.
She was a tomboyish Inkling, who was very competitive and loved doing sports, specially her favorite one, Turf War. While originally in bad terms with Mario, she eventually turns in one for his closest friends and is the person which Mario is more kind and affable towards, even more than his brother, Luigi. She was turned in a human by Francis in the Anime Arc, when he succeed all of her ink.
She was voiced by Lizzie Freeman until 2022, and is currently voiced by Elsie Lovelock.

What Do People Like About Her?[]
- Many fans like her for being a badass character due to her acrobatic skills and great fighting style.
- A lot of people find her to be really cute, especially with the recent addition of her Leggy form.
- Many people find her to be sympathetic due to going through numerous traumatic events. Like getting turned into a t pose zombie, getting kidnapped and tortured, watching Desti die when they were starting to form a friendship, being turned into a human and having to endure a lot of racism because of that, and getting tormented by her former idol (Especially with that last part, as even her detractors felt bad for her in that situation). Although nowadays people finding it annoying.
- A lot of people like her for how friendly she can be at times, especially her friendship with Mario.
- People love Elsie and Lizzie's performances.
What Do People Hate About Her?[]
- Many people find her to be a huge jerk at times (such as her infamous roles in Boys Vs Girls, DO NOT ENTER, All I Want Is Mario To Behave, among many others).
- Half of the fanbase thinks she's a Mary Sue, as she rarely loses a fight and is portrayed as in the right most of the time.
- On the other hand, while it isn't exactly about her, nowadays many fans think that authors pass her through way too many traumatic events and they should stop.
- Some people find her to be too annoying at times.
- She's controversial for how overused she is, as many fans feel that she's milked too much to the point where it feels like she's a creator's pet.
- She's most infamous for her Human vs Inkling debate, as many fans find her to be better as an Inkling, while the Human fans say that Human Meggy was better written than Inkling Meggy.
Trivia[]
- Meggy was originally going to make only one appearance in her debut episode, though she would end up making more supporting appearances before eventually being promoted to the main cast. If Meggy retained the original intention or at least had not been promoted to the main cast, she may have been an Ensemble Dark Horse had she been popular enough.
