Mavuika, also known as Haborym, the Pyro Archon, the God of War, Kiongozi, and Natlan's Radiant Sun, is a major character in the 2020 action role-playing fantasy video game Genshin Impact.
Like all other previous Pyro Archon, she is a human who ascend to Godhood but still have human mortality. 500 years ago, she let herself died from the injury in the fight of the Abyss. To be resurrect 500 years later when 6 warriors will be assembling and together they will defeat the Abyss in Natlan.
She is voiced by Li Ye in Chinese, Katiana Sarkissian in English, Mikako Komatsu (who voices Tsumugi Shirogane from Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School) in Japanese and Kim Na-yeul in Korean.

- Fans like her design of a tall sexy woman wielding a claymore with jiggle physics.
- Fans like her motorcycle mechanics which is good for Natlan exploration in addition to possessing the enhanced Elemental Sight capabilities of the Masters of the Night Wind which can help players snipe chests. Although some say it does not fit Natlan's aesthetic, they are minor convenience and civilizations in Genshin was proven to be more advanced than it is seen multiple times.
- Fans like that she is the best Pyro DPS that can deal a lot of damage with right teams, in addition to being a good Pyro sub-DPS and support due to her not needing energy like Xiangling and has a Burst that deals both damage and damage buff to all members in teams regardless of scaling.
- In fact, her Burst makes her effective as a nuke in her main DPS set-ups, giving an unusually high amount of single instance damage even at Talent Level 1, which led to the maximum amount of single instance damage in Genshin being increased from 9,999,999 up to 20 million in 5.4.
- She has a tragic backstory of losing all her friends and leave her family behind, going down an endless road for 500 years before reincarnating to recruit a new band of heroes to save Natlan. She almost gives up but her sister spirit appears and give her motivation to continue.
- She is a good leader, but also a very nice person. Being welcome to Traveler and Paimon compared to Raiden Shogun who introduced as a hostile character, and Furina who was introduced as flawed but with a hidden shade of insecurity.
- Her fighting scene with Il Capitano are praised for the choreography, and equality in both strength and skills.
- Fans like her music video, including the vocal performances for Blazing Heart.
- She is a very selfless person, willing to sacrifice her life if it saves Natlan from the clutches of The Abyss. Thankfully (but also sadly) she doesn't have to as Captain takes her place as a sacrifice and give Natlan a permanent solution to the Ley Line problem.
- Some fans start shipping her with Captain because them become friend in later part of the story.
What Do People Hate About Her?[]
- Her character writing was criticized as excessively fixating on her divine potential and being perfect without regard for the more human or relatable side of her personality, due to being meant to be seen as a human who only borrowed powers from the divine authority.
- Some Players say her being a Pyro on-fielder is repetitive, due to having only being released few patches after several Pyro characters that were played on-field came to the meta such as Arlecchino, Gaming and the return of Diluc, for his plunging attack-focused build helped by Xianyun.
- For perspective, Genshin already have 6 five-star Pyro on-fielders. And the current existent Pyro off-fielders are either niche characters like Thoma, Dehya, and Chevreuse, or Bennett who is among the only existing base ATK buffer or Xiangling with high energy requirement, forcing player to pick Bennett to feed her energy requirement. Mavuika kits leaning more to being a Pyro on-fielder make some players who wait for a 5-star Bennett and Xiangling alternative feel disappointed.
- Compare to Venti who can ragdoll smaller enemies into his Burst's vortex, Zhongli who gives strong shields and universal resistance shred, Raiden Shogun who enabling high energy teams while doing damage herself, Nahida who enables Dendro reactions, and Furina who enables healers and the Marechausee Hunter 4-piece set with her Ousia summons' health drain and Burst, Mavuika instead makes her team support her damage output.
- She relies on Fighting Spirit instead of energy. Which make Energy generation completly useless on her, and make her artifacts farming harder, as well as relying on Normal attack and other Natlan character to generate Fighting Spirit for her Burst. Since normal attacks alone generate very little Nighsoul points, players are forced to have another Natlan support like Citlali or Xilonen if they want to use her to full potential.
- Her relying on Nightsoul points make her not as good of a support to non-Natlanese characters compared to Xiangling or other Archons, which has her fans fear that it will make her become more useless overtime when a better Pyro on-fielder and off-fielder will release in future.
- Mavuika's Demo has exacerbated the dissatisfaction towards her character surrounding the perceived lack of representation in Natlan as her image song, "Blazing Heart" sung in the game's 4 audio languages, which isn't in cultural music style of Natlan but modern pop instead.
