Mabel Pines is one of the main protagonists the Disney animated series Gravity Falls. She is the older twin sister of Dipper Pines, which they both act different. As Dipper is shown to be more mature and takes things more seriously, Mabel is a fun energetic girl who doesn't really take life as seriously. She and her brother were sent to Gravity Falls which their Grunkle Stan for the summer so they could get fresh air. Her and Dipper discover many paranormal mysteries in the town that doesn't seem as normal as it seems.
She is voiced by Kristen Schaal.

What Do People Like About Her?[]
- Mabel was one of the more likable characters in the first season of Gravity Falls due to her adorkable personality.
- Mabel has a very recognizable and cute character design with her sweaters and braces.
- Many of her fans find her character to be hilarious and have some very funny quotes.
- Mabel does get many detractors due to her actions, but her fans believe that she's still a kid that probably doesn't know any better and begins to show signs of maturity by the end of the series.
- She does help take down Bill Cipher by distracting him for a long time so Stan and Ford could defeat Bill once and for all.
- Mabel is still shown to be a good sister, as she saves Dipper by exorcising Bill Cipher, and gave up her puppet show to save her brother's life.
- She has fans that defend her that she does face consequences when she does something negative; just not ones comparable to Dipper.
What Do People Hate About Her?[]
- Later in the first season, she started getting way more detractors due to the facts that she constantly teases Dipper for his crush on Wendy despite having a crush on many boys every other episode, which makes her hypocritical. Her detractors also don’t like that she calls Dipper a creep because of his crush on Wendy despite having had crushes on many boys, many older boys and even tried to keep them up in the attic at a certain point.
- While Mabel is a very optimistic and energetic girl, she can come across as very annoying to detractors since she can get way too hyper and does annoying things.
- She is shown to be very selfish throughout the series, especially around Dipper. As Dipper literally does anything to make Mabel happy, even doing sacrifices for her; her detractors notice that she didn't really do anything to make Dipper happy and doesn't necessarily take many sacrifices to help her brother out.
- She locked Dipper and Wendy in a room to force Dipper to tell her about his crush on Wendy, despite there being a monster that was about to kill them in the same room, and although she didn't know about this she still refused to let them out, which was pretty selfish of her.
