Logan Nelson is the main protagonist of the 2017 horror film, Jigsaw (which is also the eight installment of the Saw franchise).
He is a tragic former military soldier/current doctor who lost his wife Christine to Edgar Munsen, and he also succeeded with his main goal of continuing John Kramer/Jigsaw's legacy by recreating the Barnyard Game and killing Munsen and Brad Halloran (who let criminals like Munsen run free), he is also the father of Melissa Nelson. And he was voiced and performed by Matt Passmore.
What Makes Him a Base Breaking Character?[]
What Do People Like About Him?[]
- Some fans of the franchise found the idea of Logan rather clever, as they found the idea of a man who took justice into his own hands after his dramatic past also clever.
- While not everybody was a fan of his performance, other fans still liked Matt Passmore's performance as Logan (as they found him to give Logan a somewhat charismatic personality).
- This also includes the "I speak for the dead" line, as fans of the character saw it as a line that made sense to his character.
What Do People Hate About Him?[]
- Other fans of the franchise saw Logan as an unnecessary new apprentice for John Kramer who made no sense to the franchise's main story.
- Fans also thought that his character wasn't fully fleshed out, and just saw him as a character who was pulled out of nowhere/a character who was just there to carry on John's legacy.
- Fans also thought that his story was poorly written, as they thought that it just made him a boring assist to the movie rather than the main protagonist of the movie.
Trivia[]
- Both Logan and Mark Hoffman are the only Saw characters to be BBCs.
