Lamar Davis is one of the two deuteragonists of Grand Theft Auto V (alongside Lester Crest) and the tritagonist of Grand Theft Auto Online.
He is an incompetent and destructive gangster associated with the Families and Franklin Clinton's best friend, as well as a close friend of Trevor Philips. Despite his tendencies to cause havoc, Lamar is a loyal friend to Franklin and often helps him out whenever he needs it.
He is voiced by Gerald "Slink" Johnson.

What Do People Like About Him?[]
- He's a pretty fun character, with a lot of iconic lines and both funny and iconic moments.
- His roasting of Franklin has become an iconic meme in the GTA community, so much so that Slink Johnson and Shawn Fonteno recreated the scene in a video.
- His incompetence is also played for laughs, his failed attempts to make money whether by selling drugs or making deals with rival gangs and yet one way or another always ends in a shootout, are considered quite funny moments.
- Despite their disputes and arguments, he is a loyal friend to both Franklin and Trevor. In the final mission, when Franklin calls him to help him, he accepts without hesitation.
- In general, he is considered one of the funniest and most iconic characters in the saga due to his funny moments and charisma and also for being a loyal friend.

- Many consider him quite annoying, because every time he appears it is always to bother Franklin or to force him into his affairs.
- His detractors believe that his incompetence, rather than being funny, is annoying because he constantly endangers Franklin and rarely takes responsibility for his actions.
- Taking the above into account, Franklin always ends up rescuing him or helping him escape from the situations he commits, and instead of being grateful he invents one or another excuse as to why the deal went wrong (such as, for example, when the trio of protagonists rescued from the sawmill and instead of being grateful, he starts arguing with Franklin).
