Why Do Some People Love The Character?	People love her design and boss battle theme. Her tragic past of becoming the Crimson Witch of Flames after her boyfriend Rostam's death during the Cataclysm, having to suffer from the flames as a result.
Why Do Some People Hate The Character?	Many find her characterization ruined when Chapter III had her killed off too early. The English dub of the game removed some of her redeeming moments such as calling out Barbatos for deciding to slumber and made her death less sympathetic.

Rosalyne-Kruzchka Lohefalter, also known as La Signora and previously known as the Crimson Witch of Embers, is a major antagonist in the video game Genshin Impact, being the overall main antagonist for the first half of the game's Archon Quest storyline. She was the Eighth of the Fatui Harbingers, joining the Fatui after Pierro recruited her, and became the Crimson Witch of Flames after her boyfriend Rostam died in the Cataclysm.

She is voiced in Chinese by Ziyin, and by Yui Shouji in Japanese. Her English and Korean voice actresses are currently unknown.

What Makes Her a Base Breaking Character?

What Do People Like About Her?

• Many people like her cool design and aesthetic, in addition to her coincidental comparison as a dark parallel to a real-life Soviet Ukranian soldier named Mariya Oktyabrskaya who lost her boyfriend and sacrificed most of her possessions for a source of a power (Mariya purchased a tank, and Signora become the Crimson Witch of Flames).
• Her boss themes Chrysalis Suspirii and Saltatio Favillae composed by former Genshin composer Yu-Peng Chen are also very well done, expressing her cold outer shell and the sorry state she had to be put through as the Crimson Witch respectively.
• Despite being an underutilized arrogant baroness, fanbase agree that the climax of Inazuma Archon Quest has La Signora set up as a decoy antagonist before being slain by Raiden Shogun after losing to the Traveler in a duel in the Tenshukaku after her boss fight. Duke Inferno / Ifrit from Genshin's sister game Honkai Star Rail, on the other hand, suffers even more anticlimactic death by Acheron in the Trailblaze Mission Story, despite being hyped as a potential major antagonist after Trailblaze Continuance, along with the rest of the members of Ever-Flame Mansion making their introductions. Making Duke Inferno (& the rest of Ever-Flame Mansion members) even more underutilized to La Signora in comparison.

What Do People Hate About Her?

• Many detractors have criticized the sudden destruction of Signora’s characterization in Chapter III of the Archon Quests when the writers decided to have her killed off early in the story to prop up other villains like the Raiden Shogun and Scaramouche (both of whom quickly stopped being antagonists) and Il Dottore, who was already capable of standing on his own as a villain.
• The English dub of the game also takes away most of her redeeming qualities in a very jarring manner; adding the “invasive vermin” as part of Venti’s dialogue which basically renders her as a traitor to Mondstadt, removing her line of calling out Barbatos for his decision to slumber to make it happen like he woke up in the wrong time, and her final line where instead of expressing regret at her loss decides to call everyone “filthy rats” before her execution.
  • The fact that Arlecchino's voiceline about her seemingly conflicts with the dub's personality change, having her give gifts to the House of the Hearth's children and genuinely trying to form a connection with them only for it to be revealed to be fake on the children’s side, doesn't help.
• Detractors also didn’t like Signora’s crown being previewed as an obvious domain reward, claiming that it takes away the suspense leading up to her death.
• Gameplay-wise, her boss mechanic is you fight her as you receive a damage over time debuff. It ends up being infuriating if not for healer characters like Jean, or Kokomi Sangonomiya were brought in your team.
  • Also, she possess a counterattack that cannot be dodged if done by a melee character for a high load of damage and maxes out the debuff gauge for all players in the arena upon dealing more than 30% of her health in a single setting, making it more punishing to fight in teams that can produce a very high instance of damage on a single target i.e. trying to one-shot her.

• La Signora shares the Japanese VA (Shoji Yui (庄子裕衣)) of Bonanus & Changsheng, and the Chinese VA (Ziyin (子音)) of Eula Lawrence.
  • The Chinese VA of La Signora also voiced Calypso, the Human form of Titan of Reason, Cerces. 
• La Signora, Scaramouche, and Arlecchino are the base breaking characters of Genshin Impact who were Fatui Harbingers.
