Krystal is a major character in the Star Fox series. She is the last member of the deceased civilization of Cerinia and is Fox McCloud's love interest and is the fourth member of the Star Fox team in place of the aging Peppy Hare.
She was voiced by Estelle Ellis (only in Star Fox Adventures) and Alesia Glidewell (only in Star Fox: Assault and the Super Smash Bros. series).

What Do People Like About Her?[]
- Fans have grown to love Krystal for her very beautiful character design and is among one of the most attractive characters in the entire series.
- She is a frequent subject of fan art as well as several fanfics, and in stories with shipping, she is most often paired with Fox which they see them to be a cute and professional couple.
- She was so popular that she has an entire website dedicated to her and general Star Fox news, called the Krystal Archive.
- Many fans love the bond between Fox and Krystal so much that they naturally became upset when Star Fox: Command broke them apart, leaving the fate of their romance on the line, and her characterization in that game does not help. Even then, there are some fans are sympathetic towards her for how Fox treated her.
- She sometimes brings some humorous moments, even if she isn't trying to, when it comes to her making Fox timid and stutter a lot, from his teammates poking fun as his crush towards her and especially when Tricky points out about them going on a honeymoon.
- Krystal is one of the more requested characters in the Super Smash Bros. series and oftentimes doesn't make it in. She does end up becoming an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, while some of them still want her to be a playable fighter, other fans were very happy to see that Krystal is finally taking her first steps into the battlefield after being shafted to being a trophy and sticker.
What Do People Hate About Her?[]
- Krystal is poorly received in Japan for her lack of interesting traits and replacing Peppy Hare as the main pilot. Due to this fact, her fans believe that this is the reason why Krystal was mistreated writing-wise in Star Fox: Command and a look for an excuse to get rid of her and ending her character arc, (as well as the Star Fox timeline) on a sour note.
- Even outside of Japan, she is a divisive character in western countries and the majority of her detractors are the Pre-Adventures fans who think that she is not a good replacement for the more popular female characters like Fay, Miyu, and even Fara Phoenix.
- Krystal's depiction in Star Fox: Command is considered to be the worst, since she went from a wise loving woman to an immature woman scorned trope who never shuts up about her break-up with Fox and the negative endings focused on her tend to be ridiculously melodramatic to the point where players were unwilling to sympathize with her dilemma, which did nothing to improve her reception and instead making her an even more polarizing character. It's one of the reasons why they want to deem Command non-canon.
