Brian Griffin just found out that this page Junko Enoshima has failed to be a bestseller for his writing career. In order to help this problem, this page should be rewritten! IT MUST BE REWRITTEN OR ADDED TO!! ![]() |
Junko Enoshima is the main antagonist of the Danganronpa franchise, being titled the Ultimate Fashionista. She is the leader of Ultimate Despair as well as the twin sister of Mukuro Ikusaba. She is voiced by Megumi Toyoguchi in the original Japanese version of both the games and anime. However, she is voiced by Erin Fitzgerald and Amanda Céline Miller in the English dub of the games.
In the English dub of the anime, she is voiced by Jaimie Marchi.
What Makes Her a Base Breaking Character?[]
What Do People Like About Her?[]
- As one would expect from the Ultimate Fashionista herself, Junko Enoshima is beloved by the Danganronpa fandom for her beautiful character design. In fact, it is rather ironic how a Pure Evil villain has the appearance of a cute girl.
- Due to her design, she received a ton of fanart.
- Some fans found her lines genuinely funny. In fact, two of her lines of dialog have spawned memes on the internet:
- In Trigger Happy Havoc, her line where she introduces herself as "Junko f*cking Enoshima" is very iconic.
- Famously in the spinoff anime, Danganronpa 3: End Of Hope's Peak Academy, her line "Kamukura! Kamukura! Yas queen!" contributed to her meme status.
- During 2019-2021, Josiane Lessard popularised her iconic pose which became a "trend" in the weeb and cosplayed community.
- She is an extremely iconic character, despite Danganronpa not being one of the most popular games ever. In fact, she is famously one of the most cosplayed characters in anime in general.
- Fans found her a good antagonist, with her being intimidating and highly intelligent for a teenage girl.
What Do People Hate About Her?[]
- Some fans found her annoying, especially with her constantly changing.
- The astronomical elephant in the room is her derailment in the spinoff anime which contributed to her hatedom. Unlike in the games, where she is portrayed as a cynical yet cunning girl who was bored of the world, she was flandarised as a bland generic doomsday villain with a "I'm evil, so let's destroy the world" motive.
- Fans found her motive for villainy being "boredom" as an extremely stupid excuse for villainy.
