Jim Halpert, is one of the two tritagonists alongside Pam Beesly of the US version of The Office. Jim is an intelligent and the straight-man of the show usually contrasting to the other characters' zaniness.
His iconic looks into the camera had generated into the series most iconic running gags.
For some fans, his pranks with Dwight are often seen a highlights of an episode.
He is one of the most iconic characters in the series.
His scenes, moments, and quotes have been used in memes too often that he's basically become a meme template.
What Do People Hate About Him?[]
People dislike how his relationship with Pam was going on when she had been engaged to Roy, and also dislike how he became less romantic after the two had gotten married.
He told everyone that Pam was pregnant which caused a lot of problems for Pam.
However, some fans do believe that Jim's pranks on Dwight are too mean or harsh, usually considering the fact that Dwight hadn't provoked Jim prior to it and makes Jim come off as a jerk inflicting torture onto Dwight.
He let Michael fall into the koi pond.
He was a terrible roommate to Darryl Philbin.
He is often seen as a jerk by many fans.
When he invested in Athlead when he didn't have to and also taking the job without telling Pam.
He can be seen to be a bad boyfriend such as when he dumps Katy on the Booze Cruise and how he was to Karen.
He tries to ditch Pam at the dinner party.
He buys his parents' house without telling Pam, his wife.
He always leaves it for Pam to deal with his co-workers emotions, often showing disregard for their personal problems and always leaving the issue for his wife to deal with.
He expects Pam to go along with his dreams without consulting her.
While it is kind of part of his character, some people don't like how lazy of an employee Jim is.

Much like his wife Pam, most of the hate towards him all seemed to occur long after the series' conclusion back in 2013.
