Jaq and Gus are the deuteragonists of the 1950 Disney animated film Cinderella. Jaq is the fearless and quick-witted brains of the outfit, acting as the leader of the household mischief. Gus, meanwhile, is a slow-witted bruiser with an excessive appetite (hence his plump physique). Both Jaq and Gus have the ability to speak using a broken form of English called "Mouse Latin", and often distort words, most notably Cinderella's own name (which they mispronounce as "Cinderelly").
They were originally voiced by the late Jimmy MacDonald in the original film. In modern media, Jaq was voiced by Rob Paulsen and Gus was voiced by Corey Burton, who also voiced King Stefan and Zeus.

- Their detractors accuse them of taking up more screen time than every other character in the film, with the exception of the title character, as they do nothing but hog the screen-time and be failed comic reliefs to some people.
- Gus' stupidity can be infuriating to some viewers.
- His greed and determination to pick up an extra piece of corn that one of the other mice left behind almost gets him killed by Lucifer, which definitely would've happened if it weren’t for Jaq’s intervention or carelessness.
- Some detractors also pointed out that they can be quite reckless and mischievous, as shown when they caused enough trouble in the kitchen, and when they weren’t taking the magic wand seriously.
