Jacob Hamilton (AKA Jake) is a character in Disventure Camp.

He first competed in Season 1, who was a member of the Teal Team, and would eventually return in All Stars as a member of the Magenta Team.

He is as of now, in a romantic relationship with Tom.

He's voiced by Josh Osborne in English, Augusto "Gust" Carvajal in Spanish, Kamil "Szedo" Kluska in Polish, and Dragon.bgo in Italian.

What Makes Him a Base Breaking Character?

What Do People Like About Him?

• He suffers from discrimination due to being gay.
• He forms a friendship with Miriam, which helps her win Season 1.
• He feels remorse for not siding with other campers and voting for Aiden after Ashley gets voted off.
• While he doesn’t get on with Aiden at first, he becomes friends with him.
• He becomes friends with Ally despite their bickering at first.
• He becomes friends with Ashley.
• One can sympathize with him due to Tom not paying attention to him and lying about having a boyfriend to him as well. He also noted in a greeting how bad his elimination was, though the elimination was fair.
• His greeting when he wears a maid’s costume is funny. Additionally, the greetings provide more information about his character for those who consider them to be canon.

What Do People Hate About Him?

• Detractors feel that he’s immature and find it annoying when he makes bad decisions, like not choosing to vote with other campers to counter the villains’ alliance due to his prejudices. Ellie does call him out on this, but one may question whether the show portrays her in the wrong to do so or not.
• His actions ended up causing James to be eliminated, even if James had done bad things in Season 2. This was partly due to Alec’s manipulations, but one can definitely argue he should not be solely held responsible for it.
  • His paranoia and personal feud with Aiden also led to Ashley's elimination as instead of uniting everyone outside of the Villains' Alliance to vote together to cause a tie-breaker, both he and Aiden are too busy with their conflict, creating a fraction within the remaining players, allowing the antagonists to form a majority. He does regret his actions, but he still caused it.
• Many consider him to be a creator’s pet who gets way too much favoritism and can't stand seeing him after he gets so much screentime compared to everyone else. He's got a major one in nearly every episode out of a twenty-one episodes season. Furthermore, he's also had a major role in his debut season, with his relationship with Tom being the main romantic plot of both seasons. He (along with Tom and Aiden) is also most frequently used on thumbnails. Having a spin-off miniseries dedicated to him and Tom only made matters worse.
