Serial Designation J, better known as simply J, is one of the two secondary antagonists (along with Doll) of the 2021-2024 Glitch Productions web series Murder Drones.
She is a Disassembly Drone, the former boss of N and V, and secretly an ally of the Absolute Solver.
She is voiced by Shara Kirby.
What Makes Her a Base Breaking Character?[]
What Do People Like About Her?[]
- Shara Kirby did a great job voicing the character.
- She's one of the funniest characters in the series, as she has a handful of comedic moments, such as getting stabbed by a JCJenson pen, taunting Uzi with her using a record called "BestMonologueEver.mp3", her tendency to blurt out corporate buzzwords in place of profanities, and gets beat up in funny ways.
- She has an attractive design like V in which a lot of fans enjoyed.
- She was given some depths of her character in "Home", where she was shown to be a good friend towards Tessa despite her usual bossy attitude towards N. Even though "Absolute End" pretty much turned J into a selfish traitor who is only out for herself, many still enjoyed their relationship together.
- For all her faults, some fans sympathized her backstory of being a victim of Absolute Solver as she was once a Worker Drone who is close friends with Tessa until being turned into a pawn for the Solver.
- Since she's a Disassembly Drone, she was given an "Evil Is Cool" vibe with an aresenal of different weapons and abilities.
- Many are glad that she appears in merch promotional videos and other shorts.
- Some memes were made from her, such as her obsession for branded pens or the fact that she's the most useless Disassembly Drone, which is pretty ironic as she called N useless and terrible.
What Do People Hate About Her?[]
- In "Absolute End", she was derailed into an one-note villain who decided to help the Absolute Solver to destroy Copper-9 and tried to kill everyone in it, believing she is in the "winning team". With the very fact that she is aware that it killed Tessa, who is her best friend, and still helped the Solver out of cowardice. This upsets many of the fans as her character development and potential redemption was ruined.
- Despite being the leader of her squad and always hyped herself up, J is shown to be terrible at fighting as she got beaten by a Worker Drone (Uzi) due to her arrogance. Not to mention, she calls N "worthless and terrible" but he's shown to be the most competent of the trio, with the most wins and even breaking into the bunker, while J loses every single fight she has. In fact, some people poked fun at this by calling J a fraud (or "Serial Designation Fraud"), and it became a meme around the community.
- Her hatred of N is never explained and just comes off as her being cruel to him for the sake of it, especially since she was abusive to him even before the Absolute Solver got to them.
