Hiyoko Saionji, also known as The Ultimate Traditional Dancer is a character in the Danganronpa franchise. She was one of the participants in the Killing School Trip. She died in the third chapter with Ibuki Mioda by Mikan Tsumiki, walking in when she killed Ibuki. However, she's still alive and was one of the students to be cured by Hajime Hinata in the Neo World Program.
After the death of Chiaki Nanami in the real world, she becomes one of the Ultimate Despair with the rest of her classmates. However, she and the rest of her classmates try to atone from their sins of when they were in Ultimate Despair.

- Hiyoko reaches popularity in Japan, ranking 4th place in the popularity poll.
- Many fans like her friendship with Mahiru since she's one of the only people she's really kind to.
- There may be reasons to her rude actions that make fans feel sympathy for her, as she grew up tragic who had to deal with a lot of threats and cruel tricks played on her and was taken from her parents to live with her strict grandmother who didn't let her see her parents.
- Many fans like her Free Time Events with Hajime and find her non Mikan insults entertaining.
- After Fuyuhiko's apology, fans appreciate how she tries to improve her behavior for the better unlike many other bullies in franchises.
- In Hope Arc, she was grateful of Mikan for saving her, albeit insulting her at the same time, when they were in the cruise, she was hanging out with her, which means that Hiyoko started to see Mikan as a friend.
What Do People Hate About Her?[]
- In Western Countries, many fans dislike her character, being one of the worst characters along with TeruTeru.
- She is a complete jerk to mostly everyone she encounters and is a huge bully to Mikan and Kazuchi.
- She is hypocrite, saying that she hates being bullied in the beginning of chapter 2 because she stinks for not taking a bath but she is a bully to Mikan and Kazuchi.
- Most of the time when she cries, it's very fake that it will make her distrustful because of her fake tears. This also makes detractors make her come across as annoying.
- She spiked Teruteru's nikujaga with an invention of his and Kimura which was filled with aphrodisiacs, and when everyone in the room eat it, lost the control of their bodies and drowning in lusts.
