Gregory is the main protagonist of Steel Wool era of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, serving as the titular main antagonist of the story GGY from the Tales from the Pizzaplex anthology novel series, the main protagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach and one of the two overarching protagonists of its sequel DLC, Ruin (alonsgide Cassie's father).
Once an underling of the Mimic, he is an enigmatic young boy who is locked inside Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex and is attempting to avoid its killer animatronic attractions and escape it. During the game, he is assisted by the main animatronic Glamrock Freddy, who protects him from the various threats within the PizzaPlex. After escaping the PizzaPlex and redeeming Vanessa, Gregory becomes determined to make sure the Mimic won't escape his imprisonment by all means necessary.
He is voiced by Marta Svetek.

What Do People Like About Him?[]
- He is able to fight back against his enemies and win, which is considered to be cathartic considering how the previous games in the franchise leave the player helpless to defend themself against the animatronics.
- Many consider his snarky demeanor to be entertaining.
- His relationship with Glamrock Freddy is very endearing, with both of them caring about each other and having many sweet moments together, even escaping together in most good endings.
- Many of his fans see his more morally-gray actions as justified, since he only disassembled Vanny when he had no other option (and Glamrock Freddy told him to), his disassembly of the Glamrocks was reasonable due to them trying to kill him (and in Montgomery Gator's case karmic assuming that he did dismantle Glamrock Bonnie) and cutting the elevator was necessary in order to stop the Mimic from escaping and continuing its crimes, with him feeling remorse for doing so.
What Do People Dislike About Him?[]
- Many think that Gregory is less interesting than the Glamrocks due to their personalities being more fleshed-out and likeable than his, while there's hardly any elaboration on Gregory's backstory or motivations.
- The violent ways he fights back against the Glamrock animatronics and Vanny have made Gregory hard to sympathize with due to them being forcibly brainwashed and having no choice but to attack him, with fans believing they didn't deserve to be mutilated or killed since their evil actions were committed against their will.
- For the Glamrocks, many hated how Gregory lied to Glamrock Freddy about where he got his friends' parts despite the latter putting all of his trust into him and believing that his friends could be saved. Several players felt bad for the shattered Glamrocks due to their pitiful reactions after being mutilated, and wished that they could've been repaired or restored to their normal selves.
- For Vanny, many hate how Gregory kills her in the Disassemble ending due to subjecting her to a very graphic and agonizing death, when she could've been freed from her brainwashing as shown in the Princess ending.
- In Ruin's Elevator ending, he cuts the elevator that Cassie was in and leaves her to die, despite her only wanting to save him and only being an unwitting pawn in causing the Mimic's escape. Due to how mercilessly he betrayed Cassie despite their prior friendship and him comforting her after being abandoned on her birthday, this act has caused Gregory's detractors to hate him even more.
- Many of his detractors find Cassie a far more interesting and enjoyable protagonist than him, one where you actually rooted for her survival and escape, just making him look even worse than he already did, as there's a character who filled the exact same role he did and did it far better than he could.
- He have massive plot armor. Despite being only a kid, he was able to destroy 3 highly advanced robots, defeat very Intelligent adults, defeat Mimic and burn entire Pizza Plex in one night. While in fact, Glamrock Freddy helped him but still he doesn't helped him in it directly
