Gleonard "Glenn" Quagmire or Glenn Quagglechek (birth name), is a major character in the adult animated television cartoon Family Guy. He is a 61-year-old man who consumes carrots to make himself look younger, is neighbors with the Griffins (and best friend of Peter Griffin) and is highly obsessed with sex.
Ever since his one true love Cheryl Tiegs has dumped him, he has been dating multiple of women throughout the years to fill in the void she made.
He is voiced by Seth MacFarlane who also played Peter Griffin and Brian Griffin in the same series and Stan Smith in American Dad.

What Do People Like About Him?[]
- Quagmire has gotten very popular over the years for his well-known famous catchphrase Giggity. He has become very popular in meme status.
- Even if he did pretty much cross every line of sexual jokes in the series, many fans still find his character really funny and likable. Fans tend to find his quirky personality to be very enjoyable and find him to be one of the funniest characters in the show.
- Many fans think that Quagmire's Self-Deprecation later in the series is the authors mistake and have high hopes that they can change his character for the better.
- In the scene in which Quagmire explains in why he hates Brian, many fans saw his logic even if fans of Brian might disagree with him.
- Also, throughout the series, there’s also the things that Brian did to him, such as making him buy a run-down apartment despite the fact that Quagmire helped him earlier by fixing his teeth.
- Since Quagmire is enjoyed by many fans throughout the years, many want him to have his own spin-off series. Ironically, there was a cutaway where he thought he was getting a spinoff series before he discovered that Cleveland got one instead.
What Do People Hate About Him?[]
- Many detractors find his character to be completely disgusting and creepy because of his obsession with sex. Detractors find his obsession to be disturbing and very unhealthy.
- Even in episodes of where you feel sympathy for him (such as the episode the episode Screams of Silence: The Story of Brenda Q, the viewer is supposed to feel touched when he tells Brenda that women are "strong, vibrant and beautiful creatures", when the way he mistreated many women throughout the series makes it hard to sympathize with him.
- He suffered a bad case of flanderization, as he went into a Self-Deprecation character later on in the series, starting with season 8, and barely isn't that funny as he originally was, which blatantly decreased his popularity because most people agree that this role doesn't fit for him at all.
- His speech about criticizing Brian became very controversial because detractors pointed out that he criticizes Brian for his terrible actions despite doing the same misdeeds he does and claim that he is no better than Brian. Because of the similar stuff that Quagmire does throughout the series and criticizes Brian for it, detractors believe he is a hypocrite.
- He talks about how Brian constantly hits on Lois even though he does the same.
- He talks about how Brian never sees that son of his even though Quagmire had too many children that he never got to see.
- He bragged about working in a soup kitchen even though he's never actually been seen doing that.
- Detractors feel that his hatred for Brian came out of nowhere and as the series progressed, his hatred for Brian started to get really annoying and repetitive over time.
- However, many detractors also believe that he is the worst person to rant to Brian about his actions since he himself is a perverted serial rapist.
