Why Do Some People Hate The Character?	Many detractors started to hate Ezran's sense of optimism and his need to help others as they found it annoying. Some fans find Ezran's treatment of Xadia and his want for peace unrealistic.
Why Do Some People Love The Character?	His compassionate personality. His goal of wanting to write the wrongs of his father and show others what a king should be is very maturing for his character and admirable. He has fun and interesting relationships with the other characters. He tries to bring peace between xadians and humans but holds no grudges toward them.

I didn't see everything he had to do as king, but I do know that my dad had to make very hard decisions. I'm just a kid. I haven't fought in any battles. I haven't read many books of wisdom. I haven't gone through the things that made my father the king he was. So I've decided... that I don't have to be the king my father was. My father made choices to keep fighting battles that started hundreds of years before he was born, to punish enemies for the crimes their parents committed. I don't want to be that kind of king. Set them free. Soren and Claudia will not pay for the mistakes their father made.	„

Ezran is one of the main protagonist of the Netflix original series, The Dragon Prince, he is the son of King Harrow and the brother of Callum. Throughout season 1-3, they work together to return the egg of the dragon king back home with the help of the elven assassin, Rayla. But Ezran returns back home to take his place as king and try to discourage others from wanting to go to war with Xadia. In Mystery of Aaravos, Ezran does his best to maintain and encourage peace between humans and xadians while discovering the existence of the mysterious Startouch elf, Aaravos. Him and Team Zym try to find more about Aaravos while finding a way to stop him and his plans for the world.

Ezran is voiced by Sasha Rojen.

What makes him a Base-Breaking Character?

What Do People Like About Him?

• He has a compassionate personality that leads him to understand others including the xadians and not hold grudge against them. He's even the only one to not have a prejudice towards the inhabitants of Xadia.
  • Besides that, his personality is pretty funny and cute in some moments.
• When Ezran became the new king of Katolis, he seeks to write the wrongs that his father has done while showing what a king should be. Though he looks up to his father, Ezran is aware of Harrow's flaws as a person and the mistakes he has committed. Not only that but he wants to show others to not underestimate him mainly for being a child and that he is capable of making hard decisions. Many fans like this moment in the story because it was very maturing for his age and highly admirable.
• Ezran's relationship with the other characters are interesting, specifically his relationship with his step-brother, Callum. He deeply loves Callum as a brother and respects his journey in wanting to become a mage while both try to bring peace between the world of humans and xadians.
• He wants to bring peace between xadians and humans but despite its challenges, Ezran is still motivated in his journey. He does not even hold a grudge towards humans and xadians while capable of offering them a chance.
• Sasha Rojen does an excellent performance.
• Ezran has a cute character design in both Arc 1 and 2.

What Do People Hate About Him?

• A lot of detractors are starting to hate Ezran's optimism as they found it annoying to go through. His need to help people is seen as meaningless and pointless to the overall plot of the story and his character development. A big example of this is when Ezran decided to save three baby glow toads from Finnegrin, who was planning to use them as bait to catch a leviathan. This action lead Finnegrin to discover Team Zym and went after them. Detractors argued had he not done this, Finnegrin wouldn't suspect a thing and go after them.
• Ezran's treatment of the xadians is hated by some fans as they found it annoying that Ezran is so friendly to the xadians with a wanting to coexist with them. They find Ezran's motives for peace unrealistic given the fact that Zubeia, the dragon queen, sent assassins to kill his father while Xadia has a history of mistreat towards humans.
