Eustace Bagge is one of the three main characters in the animated series, Courage the Cowardly Dog. He is Muriel's cranky husband and one of Courage's two owners.
In the pilot short, "The Chicken from Outer Space", he was voiced by Howard Huffman. In the first 33 episodes of the show, Eustace is voiced by the late Lionel Wilson, while in later episodes, he is voiced by the late Arthur Anderson. In the 2014 short "The Fog of Courage", he was voiced by Wallace Shawn.

What Do People Like About Him?[]
- Despite being a jerk to almost everyone, there are many fans who feel sympathy towards Eustace due to his tragic backstory, which is extremely tragic. He was many times abused by his mother who loved his older brother more (who also was big jerk toward Eustace), many times calling Eustace "Stupid Son" (and that's the reason why Eustace called Courage "STUPID DOG" numerous times).
- Compared to Courage and Muriel, the audience thinks that Eustace has the some of the funniest moments in the entire series, especially his many catchphrases.
- While rare, there have been moments where he's shown to genuinely care for Muriel.
What Do People Hate About Him?[]
- Even though Eustace has fans who feel sympathy towards him, he also has detractors who feel that his past does nothing to mitigate his current abusive behavior towards Courage.
- Many fans feel that Eustace's irrational hatred and abuse towards Courage is not funny in the slightest and is just uncomfortable to watch. Especially in the episode "Ball of Revenge" when he hires Courage's previous enemies in an attempt to murder him.
- Many fans also didn't like how he often took advantage of Muriel, making them wonder why she even married him in the first place.
