Erza Scarlet is one of the tritagonists in the anime/manga Fairy Tail. She is a mage at the Fairy Tail Guild and is one of the S-Class mages. Before joining Fairy Tail, she was a former slave at the Tower of Heaven who was great friends with Jellal Fernandes. Since Makarov Dreyer disbanded the guild after the events of Tartaros, she becomes the 7th guild master after the guild reunited.

What Do People Like About Her?[]
- Erza became a very popular character in the series due to her badass moments filled with awesome fights. Many fans consider her to be one of the best written female characters in Shonen history since she is normally seen as a strong women that doesn't always outshine the other.
- Despite her badass fight attitude, many fans will still consider her to be very funny with a humorous and really enjoy that side of her.
- Many fans have enjoyed her arc about the Tower of Heaven and have liked that they've gotten to know her more. Fans liked that we the series shows a great side of her. While she is still strong, she still has moments of weakness.
- Fans had her powers to be one of the coolest in the series. Fans liked that she has different kinds of armor and swords for battle and find her skills to be very impressive.
What Do People Hate About Her?[]
- Similar to Natsu's case, she barely ever loses her fights who constantly uses the Power of Friendship, and also became excessively preachy to her enemies for not relying on the Power of Friendship. Because of this, detractors consider her to be a Mary-Sue.
- Her fight with Kyôka is considered to be one of the worst moments in the series since even if Erza had none of her sense, she was still able to defeat Kyôka. What made this even worse for detractors is that in-universe, her only explanation of beating her is "because she's Erza".
- Her reveal on being the daughter of Irene Belserion became very controversial. The story give no hints of her having any connection to the dragons. Detractors viewed this to be quick and lazy add in by the author to connect Erza to the dragons to the plot with no explanation.
