It serves as the final obstacle for the player Tarnished after defeating Radagon in the previous phase.
What Makes It a Base-Breaking Character?[]
Why Do People Love It?[]
- The Elden Beast is known for its beautiful golden visuals accompanied with the awesome orchestral track of the final boss, precisely the second phase. Even the first phase orchestral track counted as well since being a triumphant reprisal of the main theme of the game, in which you're imagining fighting a God-Emperor.
- Having Torrent joins the Tarnished to defeat the final boss won back the audience for bringing the missed potential to the game, as a response from a modding community.
- The Elden Beast is a mix of Dark Souls' Gwyn and Sekiro's Divine Dragon. In which it's considered to be awesome (If flawed) final boss that Fromsoftware made.
- It also shared with Soul of Cinder, which it's Japanese name explicitly refers to the previous Lords of Cinder who linked the first flame in Dark Souls Triology, for being an sentient abstract being. For Elden Beast's case, it's an incarnate of Elden Ring and Golden Order. They're both also the final bosses in the base game.
- The Elden Beast is one of the enigmatic bosses, even by the game's standards
Why Do People Hate It?[]
- It's boss fight suffers the camera programming issues, and not to mention you need to start over from Radagon again when you fail.
- Players saw that shooing Torrent out of the final boss fight made the missed potential, in which modders attempted to brought Torrent in the final boss fight. In which, the developers have noticed it.
- The Elden Star's particularly infamous High-Accuracy and Long Duration can make you vulnerable to any other attacks. Not helping the matters that if you died fighting the Elden Beast, you'll have to fight Radagon again to proceed to second phase. Not to mention that Elden Beast is a damage-sponge boss, maybe you'd prefer have a mimic tear or use spirit ashes.
- Sometimes, Elden Beast just escape from player to other part of map whats anger many players. This makes Elden Beast propably worst type of boss in video games, thats boss who after being hit couple of times, just escape so Player must chase it
