Elaine is a supporting character in the anime/manga series The Seven Deadly Sins. She was formerly the guard of the Fountain of Youth after King abandoned the kingdom. One day she comes across and meet Ban, which they began to have feelings for each other. However, she gave up her own life to make Ban immortal after a Demon from the Demon Clan attacked the Fountain of Youth. Later in the story, she got revived by Melascula. In order to fully revive, Ban gave up his own immortally.

- Many love her relationship with Ban, believing it is cute, and are the perfect match for each other, especially since she takes a very important part in his story.
- She tragically dies by saving Ban's life, she makes him drinking the water, which she is the main reason he is now immortal and is the fox sin, which also made him move further in life. It was so he wouldn't die from when a Demon attacked the forest she was protecting from human. This also helps with Ban's development as a character.
- She also tends to help with King and Ban's relationship since King though Ban was the main reason she died. She tells King that Ban is not the person he thinks he is, since she wanted him to understand Ban and try to help him.
- She does have fans that think she's adorable and has a very kind personality.
What Do People Dislike About Her?[]
- Because of her child appearance, she got many detractors being very uncomfortable with her character design, especially the fact she's over 1000+ years old.
- Also due to her appearance, many detractors are creeped out with her relationship with Ban, since he looks much older than her. This makes detractors believe that the ship is extremely pedophilic. Detractors believe that Ban and Jericho are a better fit together.
- She is one of most common stereotype of anime loli that looks like 10 years old but in reality is some sort of deity which is immensily old. Worth to say that West media considered this as one of disgusting type of characters in anime, being one of main reason why many people believe that anime as whole support pedophilia
- The only time she's really contributed in the story is because of being the love interest of Ban and for King's plot, otherwise she's mostly pointless.
- Detractors believe she has zero personality in her character expect for being the love interest for Ban, and isn't interesting any other way.
- Her tragic death was also very pointless since it's later revealed that she got brought back to life.
