Daenerys Targaryen is one of the main protagonist of the Game of Thrones TV series, an adaptation of George RR Martin's books with the same name. Throughout the series, she seeks to claim the iron throne of Westeros for herself by birthright and is willing to use all the power she has to claim it. Despite her reputation of being a part of the infamous Targaryen family and daughter of the Mad King, Aerys II, Daenerys is ultimately a fair and kind women, who seeks to help the downtrodden and become a respectful ruler.
She was portrayed by Emilia Clarke.

- Compared to many monarchs both current and past, she is one of the few who genuinely cares about the innocent and punish those who would bring harm to them. She promises to make a better society where everyone can live as equals.
- She started as basically Drogo's sex slave, but through intelligence and compassion, she was able to become an equal ruler.
- Fans love Daenerys honest but ambitious personality and find her incredibly attractive.
- Many people find her relatable in terms of goals, actions, and personality.
- Her relationships with characters like Jorah or Jon Snow is considered interesting.
- Many feminists view Daenerys Targaryen as a good role model for women since Daenerys is standing up against the patriarchal society of Westros.
What Does People Hate About Her?[]
- Many fans of both books and TV series strongly despise the flanderization that Daenerys has faced in the final season, where she became a ruthless person to everyone around her and decided to mercilessly kill most of the population of King's Landing. Once she gets the throne and gain the chance to rule, Daenerys makes her first decision to rule the entire world for no reason and force everyone to bow to her. For her character to end in such a way upset many fans, who felt that her "madness" was rushed and that it was completely out of character.
