Claudia is a protagonist turn antagonist of the Netflix original series, The Dragon Prince. She is a dark mage and daughter of Lord Viren, the main antagonist of season 1-3. From the beginning of the series, Claudia was a bubbly and lively girl, who trains in dark magic, and is friends with Ezran and Callum. Despite her lively personality, Claudia is an deeply insecure girl, who struggles on letting things go. Throughout her life, she is afraid of being left alone without any support of her love ones, which influences her entire character in the series.
Throughout season 1-3, she assisted her father in his war towards Xadia and hoping to prove the might of humanity towards the Xadians. Due to her support of her father, she lost most of her friendships including losing her own brother Soren since he now sees their father as a villain. After resurrecting Viren from death, she goes on a quest to free Aaravos from his imprisonment so he can make the resurrection spell permanent. After Viren renounces dark magic and dies in Katolis, Claudia is left mourning her lost and finally being pulled back to Aaravos, who reveals his own tragedy of losing his daughter. His story encouraged her to free him and dedicate herself in helping his plans on revenge.

What Makes Her a Base-Breaking Character?[]
What Do People Like About Her?[]
- Claudia is a deeply tragic character in the series with many understanding most of her actions and insecurities. She lost her mother during a divorce with her father and develop deep insecurities base on losing things that she loves dearly. Claudia wants to keep her family together but later on in the show, she falls further into despair while being manipulated by Aaravos, the series overreaching antagonist.
- She is highly insecure with herself which lead many to not only sympathize with her but also relate to her and her struggles.
- She has a very cute and lively personality even when she's at her worst moments in the further seasons she remains how she is.
- Claudia is highly skilled in dark magic and shows much of her prowess.
- Many find her relationship with Viren and Soren very interesting and complex, which shows her love for her family but also the huge concern of losing them.
- Her relationship with the Earthblood elf, Terry, is seen as cute including the fact that many view him as her conscious when she is doing something bad.
- Viren leaving her after having a revelation on the consequences of his actions is very heartbreaking as Claudia dedicated herself in committing horrifying actions just to resurrect Viren only for him to leave her. She starts crying on the floor with a missing leg and blood on her hands begging for her father to stay with her.
What Do People Hate About Her?[]
- Despite her status as a tragic character, many of her detractors felt that her reasons and insecurities does not excuse her horrible actions.
- After the events of season 3, many start to find Claudia irredeemable as she grows worse overtime as they feel her decisions and actions have made her look evil. This also includes some of her positive traits slowly deteriorating.
- Besides her later actions in the series and her fall into villainy, some detractors find her personality annoying to the point of finding her less tolerable. This goes so far for some who want her to die.
