Base-Breaking characters the story wants you to think they are an unambiguous hero or sometimes an anti-hero, but the audiences think do nothing heroic. They may actually do several non-heroic actions to the point they can commit villainous actions, usually out of corrupting factors. They are usually Base-Breaking because they tend to be Karma Houdinis, getting away with their bad-morality actions because they are supposedly the hero, and/or because they receive no or little character development, making them Flat. They are usually also Unintentionally Unsympathetic.
