Brian Griffin just found out that this page Cassie Lang (Marvel Cinematic Universe) has failed to be a bestseller for his writing career. In order to help this problem, this page should be rewritten! IT MUST BE REWRITTEN OR ADDED TO!! ![]() |
“ | We need to look out for the little guy. My dad taught me that. | „ |
~ Cassie motivating the people of the Quantum Realm |
“ | It's never too late to stop being a dick. | „ |
~ Cassie to M.O.D.O.K., and her most famous quote. |
Cassandra "Cassie" Lang also known as Stature is a recurring character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, serving as a supporting character in Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp, a minor character in Avengers: Endgame, and the deuteragonist of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
She was portrayed by Abby Ryder Fortson as a child, by Emma Fuhrmann in Avengers: Endgame, and is currently portrayed by Kathryn Newton.
What Makes Her a Base Breaking Character?[]
What Do People Like About Her?[]
- As a little kid, she was always willing to help people like her dad Scott.
- She cares very deeply about her father and does not want her to get arrested when Jimmy Woo breaks into her home.
- She has a wonderful reunion with her father after five years of believing she's dead.
- Her birthday parties looked really cool.
- While she was an ungrateful jerk at first, she subverted it and was nicer to her father.
- While she did get her family stuck in the Quantum Realm, it was completely unintentional and her mistake was a blessing in disguise as it saw to it that Kang the Conqueror would be taught a lesson. Besides, despite being an amazing person, Janet was still the one who didn't tell her why she shouldn't emit a beacon there in the first place and tried to stop her with physical force, which is why they got sucked in in the first place.
- She was very friendly to the Freedom Fighters.
- She persuaded Ant-Man to not give into Kang's deals, even when he tortured her with his futuristic armor.
- She encouraged everybody in the Quantum Realm to fight against Kang.
- She sympathized with M.O.D.O.K. and played a huge role in his redemption.
What Do People Hate About Her?[]
- She displays arrogance, such as telling him she can take care of herself obnoxiously (although, superhero or not, she is still a teenager, so such behavior is just expected)
- The way she redeemed M.O.D.O.K. is considered to be pathetic since she cursed at him and told him to stop being a d-k, which for detractors of the movie was too ridiculous even for the series' standards. (Arguably, since logic nor kindness worked, may as well be bluntness)
- Due to this, some regions, such as Malaysia have decided to air Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in theaters with nearly all cursing removed during its original run.
- The way she got her parents home from the Quantum Realm has several fans scratching their heads.
- Kathryn Newton was a complete and serious miscast as Cassie Lang.
- Overall, for her detractors her knowledge of Quantum Physics and all was explored in too little depth to be believable.
Triva[]
- Since both her major role and her more controversial traits are only from Quantumania she could have been considered an Ensemble Dark Horse if Ant-Man stayed a duology.
