Carmine (Zeiyu in the original Japanese version) is the tritagonist of the DLC expansions for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. She is the elder sister of Kieran.

What Do People Like About Her?[]

She has a stylish and cool-looking design.
She has a dynamic personality which serves as a foil to Kieran as well as developing into a nicer person over time, endearing her to the audience.
She can show a cute, affectionate demeanor towards those she trusts such as Kieran, the player character and Ogerpon.
Some sympathize with her because it is implied that it is her who managing the family despite being a teenager herself.

What Do People Hate About Her?[]

She often bullies her brother Kieran, with one conversation with her grandfather implying that she regularly hits him. As such, many of Kieran's fans hate her for influencing his inferiority complex in the first place through her rough treatment towards him.
She is blamed for Kieran falling into his obsession with strength, as she tries to keep her plans to help Ogerpon a secret from Kieran despite being aware of his interest towards the misunderstood Pokémon, and making the player character perpetuate the lie as well, making Kieran believe that they betrayed him. While she only did it for Kieran's safety, many players felt guilty for lying to him and that Carmine's actions only made the situation worse.
