Bubble Bass is a supporting antagonist on the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants who first appeared in the Season 1 episode Pickles.
He is an obese, overweight, and narcissistic bass who loves to criticize other people, especially chefs and cooks because he is an extremely picky eater, complaining over the most trivial and tiny errors on his food, and is an unemployed Geek obsessed with action figures and comic books. He is gluttonous as he likes to order large extraneously specific orders that are hard to produce, using that as a way to criticize chefs and cooks to ruin their reputations and careers.
He was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.

- He makes ridiculously large orders that are stressful for the cooks, such as:
- "[A] Double Triple Bossy Deluxe on a raft, four by four, animal-style, extra shingles with a shimmy and a squeeze, light axle grease, make it cry, burn it, and let it swim."
- "[A] quad patty with a sprinkling of Himalayan salt, smoked paprika, and microgreens. I would like my cheese be-cheesed, but not just any cheese will do. Do you have any aged Howooda? And yes, it's pronounced "Howooda" not "Gouda"."
- Whenever he throws Squidward, it is played for laughs.
- His massive belching, as his belching can destroy whole buildings.
- Whenever he gets a comeuppance for his villainous actions, such as:
- In the Season 1 Episode Pickles, SpongeBob angrily pulls his tongue out, revealing the pickles and Shubie’s car keys he stored under his tongue, causing him to run away from the angry crowd panicked.
- In the Season 11 episode Larry the Floor Manager, after Bubble Bass's ridiculously specific order held up a line of complaining fish, Mr. Krabs shuts him up by shoving a regular Krabby Patty up his mouth and charging the price of a meal for it.
- In the Season 11 episode Moving Bubble Bass, after his mother thought he put and moved her in a box, she put him in a box, moving and hitting it on every object as possible, which is his karma for mistreating SpongeBob and Patrick.
- In the Season 13 episode Big Bad Bubble Bass, Mama Bass belches his clothes off after she found out he lied to her about SpongeBob and Patrick stealing his Pigulon action figure, with him previously trying to steal the last Pigulon action figure from them.
- In the Season 1 Patrick Star Show episode Lost in Couch, he leaped off the couch screaming in pain after getting poked on the butt from Ouchy because he broke into The Star House watching Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy on their TV, whilst crashing Patrick under his butt.
- Him being an accurate depiction of what a real life neckbeard is, such as:
- Being unemployed and living in his mother's house.
- Being overly harsh and criticizing to other people, especially on trivial matters.
- Him being a geek who is obsessed with superheroes and collecting merchandise on those superhero comics, similar to how a neckbeard is a geek who is usually obsessed with anime and/or My Little Pony, having assimilated a large collection of anime and/or MLP figurines.
- Him cosplaying, which is something neckbeards do.
- Furthermore, he has a black wolf costume, which is a reference to how BronyCons were full of neckbeards dressed up as ponies and barely any of the target demographic being there, as well as their obnoxious obsession with the 4th generation of MLP known as My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
- He also has a cat girl costume, which is a reference to how neckbeards are usually obsessed with anime females because they look like little girls, and how neckbeards dress up as anime girls when they go to Japan, thinking it is a normal thing there.
- It is implied he sometimes stalks females, as he hid Shubie's car keys under his tongue, similar to how neckbeards like to stalk females they are sexually attracted to, including little girls.
What Do People Hate About Him?[]
- He is very mean and rude to other fish, such as:
- In the Season 1 episode Pickles, he orders an extremely large order, but after eating it, hides the pickles under his tongue to causing SpongeBob to lose faith in making Krabby Patties and think that he actually forgot the pickles, until a few days later when he came back to The Krusty Krab and remembered putting pickles on the Krabby Patty, thus pulling out Bubble Bass's tongue, exposing this and the previous Krabby Patty's pickles, as well as Shubie's stolen car keys, making him run away like a coward from an angry crowd.
- In the Season 1 episode F.U.N., he unknowingly sits on Plankton, but after realizing Plankton was there after SpongeBob asked him to get off of his buddy, he jostles his buttcheeks at maximum strength to torture Plankton even more.
- In the Season 9 episode Bulletin Board he praises "P-Star 7" for giving The Krusty Krab negative reviews, calling him "true hero of our troubled times", and inspired by him, comes up with his own pseudonym for committing harsh censure, which is "Handsome Lad 42". To make matters worse, after SpongeBob receives an insulting message from "P-Star 7", Bubble Bass callously laughs at him, seemingly destroying his career.
- In the Season 11 episode Moving Bubble Bass, he tricks SpongeBob and Patrick into helping move all of his junk out of his mother's house because of his faked injury and for free lunches as rewards, but eats both of SpongeBob and Patrick's lunches, enraging Patrick. SpongeBob and Patrick accidentally pack Bubble Bass's mother into a box, and she later thinks it was him who did that, therefore she packs him into a box and gives him his karma by bumping into as many objects as possible.
- In the Season 12 episode Bubble Bass's Tab, he is forced to pay off his tab, but refuses until SpongeBob and Squidward win the Three Deadly Challenges at his house, but since he is unemployed and lives in his mother's basement, he is unable to pay his outstanding debt to The Krusty Krab. As a solution, Bubble Bass is forced to work at The Krusty Krab, but does an outrageously terrible job at it, constantly complaining and cleaning the dishes in a toilet, causing him to get fired, but he has a kick the dog moment at the end where he orders more food on a new tab despite knowing he will be unable to pay for it.
- He is extremely gross and unhygienic, such as storing pickles and Shubie's car keys under his tongue, moving his butt around on Plankton, headlocking Squidward under his armpit, causing him to melt onto the floor, and exhaling a large geyser of stench at SpongeBob and Patrick after eating their lunches.
- A lot of detractors don't like how overexposed he is in newer episodes of SpongeBob, it got to that point where many view him as a main character now and less of a background character.
