List of Disallowed Pages
Not Loved Enough
- Bryce Walker: While not as hated as Monty and intended to be a divisive character, his detractors still far outweigh his supporters, with most praises being about the actor's performance or sympathetic scenes in seasons 3 and 4, the latter of which get overshadowed by the criticism of his sympathetic portrayal being unrealistic and offensive, which comes off as more poor and inconsistent writing rather than making him three-dimensional as intended given how he was previously portrayed as a remoreseless serial rapist.
- Jeff Denlon: While he's definitely hated by a lot of people, the amount of people that like him as a character is far too small in number for him to qualify here.
- Light Turner: His negative reception far outweighs his defenders.
- Manny Heffley: He has very little vocal fanbase and most of his supporters only support him as a joke, rather than actually liking his character.
- Navi: Though she has gained a bit more fans, her reception is still overwhelmingly negative.
- Tina Williams: Though she has her supporters, the character still has an overwhelmingly negative reception.
Not Hated Enough

- Emperor Belos: His low amount of detractors hate him for intentional reasons only.
- Falco Lombardi: While his ingratitude in 64 has gotten him quite the ire, Falco's character development in later games, with him having several jerk with a heart of gold moments and becoming more selfless and grateful, has led to him becoming one of the most beloved characters in the Star Fox franchise and regarded as one of the most reliable teammates both in story and gameplay.
- Lindsay (Total Drama): Despite her character continuing to get flanderized the more the Total Drama franchise went on, Lindsay is still considered to be a fan favorite due to her funny moments and overall sweetness with most of her detractors still being in the minority.
- Mario: Even though, he was original one of the more divisive characters in the past, his reputation has drastically improved in recent years where he is more expressive his brotherly bond with Luigi, having a strong personality, and was obviously meant to be the protagonist in his series while the other characters managed to get their own series, and Mario is significantly more beloved nowadays.
- Princess Peach: While counted early on due to her damsel in distress role, her recent appearances where she took up more active roles and has developed as a character overall has caused her to be seen in a much better light.
- Revali: While he started out as a rather polarizing character who was already liked for his standing out from the good-natured Champions as someone who has a direct conflict with the main protagonist, Link, and often brags about his skills that he can easily back up by showing them off and having subtle nuances that reveal that he is insecure, but was also disliked for his general arrogant jerkish behavior and how he was very rude to Link, Revali's reception drastically improved in recent years and his portrayal in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity especially in the DLC where he rescues and bonds with the young Tulin and his DLC cutscene playing a big unexpected role in foreshadowing Tulin's expanded role in Tears of the Kingdom, which these factors helped him escape the base-breaking territory and regarded as a beloved character.
- Sayori (Doki Doki Literature Club!): She doesn't usually get any detraction from fans.
Some combination/additional cases
- Cho Sangwoo: His reasons for being disliked are purely intentional since he is intentionally written to be divisive and morally complex.
- Endeavor: He is intentionally written to be divisive and while some dislike having an abuser redeemed, the narrative never outright forgives him and still holds him responsible for his past actions, with people like his son, Natsuo, still being unable to forgive him. Not to mention, compared to Katsuki Bakugo, his past actions are never criticized as being brushed off too much.
- Scrappy-Doo: Scrappy has gained more fans over the years as a case of Character Perception Evolution, having both ironic and genuine fans, but due to his extensive poor reception history and the fact that the affiliate wiki is named after him, he's set to stay on The Scrappy Wiki and is disallowed from being added here, despite his fandom.
Disallowed Genres
- Any pornographic/erotic works: Due to their very niche audiences, it would be impossible to pinpoint who in these works classify as a Base-Breaking Character due to praise primarily being toward certain scenes instead of "character." Some of the works may not even have a story. Some are also banned due to Fandom's TOS rule.
- Reality TV Game Shows: There are certainly contestants that many people root for, but these contestants do not qualify due to them being real people and not fictional characters.
